I painted these canvases on Sundays, which was the only day I had available to work on my art, back when I worked in advertising. For long stretches, I was fortunate to study with Alyssa Monks in her Brooklyn, NY studio.
Learning techniques from Alyssa on building a painting from start to finish, working with photographs, mixing colors, and experimenting with brushes, helped to develop my art practice.
